Hunter Defence Conference 2021

Defence Primes, SMEs, researchers and the Department of Defence are coming together in the not-be-be-missed, annual Hunter Defence Conference for 2021.

The year’s conference will focus on the key themes of:

  • defence industry skilling and workforce readiness
  • defence capability development
  • supply chain and contract opportunities for SMEs, and
  • driving collaboration in the defence industry.

The conference will be structured over two days and we are privileged to have updates from both the Hon Melissa Price MP, Minister of Defence Industry, and the Hon Stuart Ayres MP, NSW Minister for Jobs, Investment & Tourism (W. Sydney).

On Day 1, find out what skills are, and will be, in demand in the defence industry and how you can shape your workforce to take advantage of defence opportunities. Facilitated by RDA Hunter and Training Services NSW, current and future leaders from defence, the defence industry and education will explore ways to build the skilled workforce we need to deliver the Hunter’s contribution to the national capability challenge.

On Day 2, Defence experts across air, land, maritime, cyber and space, including ministers and primes, will deliver updates on the defence industry and policy, and discuss upcoming investment opportunities and new contracting rules. The focus will be on Australian SMEs, as well as export and key contracting opportunities for the major defence primes.

Don’t miss this key event on the Defence Industry calendar.
