Goal Group consultant Mr Michael McLean FAICD, FIMC CMC, FAOQ, JM has recently returned from Jakarta from an AMSA Port State Control and Ship Inspection. This is part of delivering to the Indonesia-Australia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IA‑CEPA) . (see https://www.pm.gov.au/media/joint-statement-0)

Michael has been working with Australian/Hunter firms on their AS9100D and IATF16949 system upgrades for Army vehicles and their Stealth Patterned Container Treatment.  Also visits with supply chain members.   Michael supported a recent visit by The Naval Group and Hunternet for the interviews and assessment of QUAD Chart Capabilities of ISO 9001 with Traceability through their Supply Chain. A tour of vertical steel rolling and other fabrication, blast / paint capabilities was also undertaken .  This is a strong advertisement for the Hunter and contributes to assurance they have diversified customer / industry base and strategy to grow.

Michael will also present at the Industry 4.0 theatre  at The National Advanced Manufacturing Expo to firms wanting to enter, diversify, maintain or grow their business to supply defence, and/or that need to build their Advanced Manufacturing Strategies on automotive ‘Lean’ manufacturing strategies whilst conforming to international management systems standards.

CASG, defence Primes want confidence in supplier’s management systems and business performance. An industry Defence Supplier Readiness program will also be presented.
