POLCYB>
The Society for the Policing of Cyberspace (POLCYB), was incorporated as a not-for-profit society in June 1999. Based in British Columbia, Canada, its goal is to enhance international partnerships among public and private professionals to prevent and combat crimes in cyberspace. Our company’s goal is to spread the word on POLCYB within Australasia and gain sufficient members to form our own southern hemisphere Chapter.
The POLCYB international network includes practitioners from all organizational levels in the public and private sectors. Its partners ranges from professionals who work in the areas of law enforcement, criminal justice, corporate security, and academic institutions. POLCYB strives to facilitate information-sharing between and among executives, administrators, and front-line professionals through seeking expert advice among our global and diverse membership.
POLCYB also provide public education on information protection and internet safety to raise public awareness of cybercrime, including those committed against children and youth. To promote this objective, GOAL hopes to form a Chapter in Australasia and regularly host Quarterly Meetings and public education forums, together with encouraging members to attend the Annual Conference to promote and grow international cooperation.
