Overview
This course provides each participant with an understanding of the core concepts of project management, in alignment with the Australian National Competency Standard for Project Management, and ensures that they are competent in applying this information in the workplace.
Course Objectives
The Diploma course will ensure that participants:

Understand the core concepts of project management;

Are able to start, manage and close a project;

Have evidence of their competence in project management.
Who Should Attend

People who have been in a project management role who wish to have their competence formally recognised;

People who have been managing projects but who need a practical framework.

There are no prerequisites for this course.

There will be ample opportunities for delegates to practice the use of tools and techniques presented to them during the course.
Participants will also be required to assemble a portfolio of evidence demonstrating their competence in project management in the workplace.
Assessment
Participants will be assessed on their participation during class work, and on the activities undertaken.
Participants will need to take an examination covering all of the knowledge areas.
The portfolio of evidence presented by participants will be assessed against the requirements of the Australian National Competency Standard for Project Management.
