Overview

This course provides each participant with an understanding of the core concepts of project management, in alignment with the Australian National Competency Standard for Project Management.

Course Objectives

The Certificate IV course will ensure that participants:

• Understand the core concepts of project management;
• Are able to start, manage and close a project.

Who Should Attend

• People who wish to move into a project management role;
• People who have been managing projects but who need a practical framework.

There are no prerequisites for this course.

  • Monitoring a Project
  • Closing a Project
• Project management knowledge areas:
  • Scope Management
  • Time Management
  • Cost Management
  • Quality Management
  • Human Respurces Management
  • Communication Management
  • Procurement Management
  • Integration Management

There will be ample opportunities for delegates to practice the use of tools and techniques presented to them during the course.

Assessment

Participants will be assessed on their participation during class work, and on the activities undertaken.

Participants will need to take an examination covering all of the knowledge areas.
