Overview

AJFPS provides project management, business consulting, tendering support, logistics and reliability engineering services to government and business clients in Australia and overseas. 

AJFPS also provide skilled contract staff and recruiting services in the engineering, project management and logistics domains to meet clients' specific needs for competent personnel.

AJFPS is led by Principal Consultant, Andrew Ferguson, MBA (Technology Management), FIEAust, CPEng, CPLog, RegPM, MAICD.

Andrew has a wide experience in technology projects, change management, business development, bids and tendering, logistics engineering, commercial management, procurement and training development. 

He has a Defence (Army) engineering and project management background and has worked on defence, mining, consumer electronics, training, aerospace, vehicle, surveillance and communications projects in the civil and defence industry sectors for over 15 years.

AJF Professional Services employs a network of staff and consultants with extensive experience in project management, engineering, CAD drafting, logistics (ILS), business development, technical communications, project controls and administrative support.

AJFPS commenced operating in 2005 to meet specific skills shortages in defence and commercial logistics, engineering and tendering activities to government departments and large prime contractors.  Current and past clients include BAE Systems (USA and Australia), Ultra Electronics (UK), Tenix Defence, Saab Systems Australia, Vipac Engineers and Scientists, University of SA, Defence Science and Technology Organisation, Levett Engineering and a range of other quality companies and organisations.

Project Management

AJFPS employs registered project managers with many years of successful project management experience to major companies in Australia.  The Principal Consultant, Andrew Ferguson is a Registered Project Manager with AIPM accreditation.  He is also familiar with PRINCE2^® and PMBoK^® methodologies.  Andrew has a Graduate Diploma and a Diploma in Project Management.

PM Services includes program management, project definition, workbreakdown structure development, bid and tender management, scheduling and risk management.

Logistics Engineering and Management

AJFPS employs competent logisticians in all logistics fields including maintenance planning, spares analysis, supply and distribution, training and documentation.  The Principal Consultant, Andrew Ferguson is a Certified Professional Logistician (CPL / CPLog) accredited with SOLE (USA) The Society for Logistics Engineers.

Logistics services include logistics management, logistics engineering, maintenance planning, spares analysis, reliability engineering, training analysis and development, technical and user documentation.

Business Development and Tendering

AJFPS employs effective business development processes and provides timely and skilled support staff for bids and tenders including bid planning, bid management and tender authoring and review services using a range of proven world class methodologies.  These include the Shipley Winning Business and the Capture Planning methods.

Engineering

AJFPS employs competent engineers in systems engineering, electronics, mechanical and the various engineering specialities areas including safety, human factors, reliability, design assurance, test and evaluation and requirements management.  Andrew Ferguson has an extensive reliability engineering background.  He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, Australia (FIEAust) and a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng).

Engineering services include electronics hardware engineering, software engineering, mechanical engineering, human factors engineering and the various system engineering specialities necessary for system design and development.

Business Consulting

Business consulting services include business strategic planning, contract and commercial management, subcontracting, business development and product development planning and risk management.

Contract Staffing 

Contract staffing services include the placement of great contractors with clients to meet both short and long term requirement in any of the above areas.
